Our mythology for vampires is based very heavily on the mythos used in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. With that as the case they're really only going to be marginally good if they've somehow managed to acquire their soul again, but even so I don't really see them fitting into the council itself and you have to be a member of the council to be a teacher. If however you wanted your character to maybe be some kind of outside mentor for some of the students I'd say go ahead and write them up or give me a little more information. If you're really wanting your character to be a teacher we'd be more inclined to allow in some kind of benevolent demon or a werewolf. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Well we're based on Buffy's mythos but I'm trying to keep it from being too terribly canon as I know there are a few people coming in that aren't too familiar with it. On the show a vampire having a soul was kind of a rare thing, there were only two actual cases of it happening. The first one dealt with a gypsy curse, and the second was something the vampire actually set out to regain - not that he was good before, he did it for entirely selfish means, but he did so by undergoing a set of trials which they never really explained but seemed to involve feats of great strength and surviving several fights, etc. So you could use a spell, or something similar to the demon trials. If you're interested in the curse the wiki article about that is here. There's a bit about the demon trials at the end. As for Good Omens, I haven't but that sounds fine to me. 	There is not currently an official list of classes. You've got a very good point though. We probably should have one. For now I'd say to go ahead and be creative, or if you'd like some ideas I can offer some off the top of my head, and once the list gets made we'll add whatever your character ends up teaching to the list. 	That sounds fine. Vampires can easily be destroyed by fire so it makes sense that the students should know how to use it safely and effectively. Did you want me to add Paul to the held list? (Reply to this) (Parent)

Real celebs only, no scene kids, suicide girls, myspace celebs etc. Other than that we're pretty relaxed. It would be nice if everyone could find icons of their pb in period clothing and for that we have a link here with links to various icon posts of pbs in period clothing. If you can't find someone you're happy with there though you can find someone else just try not to find someone who wouldn't obviously stand out. Like for example some one with blue hair and tons of piercings would be a bad choice. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Watchers who are students at the school are roughly what you would expect to be college age. Their professors can be older. Potentials can be anywhere from mid teens to early twenties. (Reply to this) (Parent)

All of that sounds acceptable. You haven't really asked for anything that isn't typically associated with ghost lore and you've pretty well balanced strengths and weaknesses. Initially I was thinking of the school as a sort of 'Hogwarts' for adults so the addition of a ghost or two might be good for that. The only thing I'm debating is adding it to the species list or just hanging onto your post here and repeating what you've suggested should anyone else ask. I'm not really partial either way as to whether we let in multiple ghosts or just a few so I'm going to go ahead and just ask you how unique you'd like your character to be or if you'd like for their to potentially be others of her kind she could interact with? 	Alright, I think then what I'll do is just hold onto this thread and not post ghosts under the species options. It won't completely rule out someone else applying as a ghost, but it will lessen the numbers and give us a bit more control over how many we have. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	given the nature of steampunk, i was wondering whether i'd be allowed to bring in a watcher that has a mechanical prosthetic limb? like john silver in treasure planet, cyborg-y but still keeping with the whole steampowered copper limitations. just thought i'd ask in case you didn't want the technology to have advanced that much! thanks!
